Northern Ireland is at a key transition point in relation to the circular economy.
Creating a dialogue between key industry experts, policy makers and local communities has never been more important as we find innovative ways to address over consumption and the resulting environmental challenges. We need to rethink the current linear model of ‘take, make, use and dispose’ where resources are wasted, and shift towards a circular economy; where products and materials are kept in circulation, supported by the reuse and repair sector.
This conference is a place to hear about the exciting work that’s already happening across Northern Ireland’s Governmental Departments, Local Authorities, Community Organisations and Social Enterprises and to share the vision and shape the action that we we can take together to grow this approach.
By coming together, we can listen to the voices that are already active in the circular economy and explore the vision for developing and applying circular principles to economic development.
