NIRN Members – A Community Committed to Waste Reduction

NIRN is a member-driven organisation that unites local authorities, social enterprises, charities, and community associations. Our collective mission is to empower communities to reduce waste through innovative reuse and repair strategies. At NIRN, our members are our mission, and we are dedicated to developing a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and empowerment.

At NIRN, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. We strive to:

Create platforms for members to share experiences, insights, and best practices.

Offer training and business opportunities that build skills and resilience among our members.

Encourage partnerships and alliances that enhance the collective impact of our efforts.

Act as a voice for our members, advocating for policies and practices that support sustainable waste management.

NIRN Membership Policy

Full Members

This membership category is for Social Enterprises, Constituted Organisation, Community Organisation and Voluntary groups that operate reuse or repair in Northern Ireland

Benefits include :

  • Full access to our members’ pages
  • Regular alerts featuring information on funding, training and events
  • A voice on NIRN policy developments
  • Full access to network meetings and networking events
  • Marketing & promotion
  • Participation in conferences, events and research projects
  • Listing on NIRN website

Full Membership Cost: £50 per year

Affiliate Members

Affiliate members include local authorities and statutory bodies.

Benefits include:

  • Full access to our members’ pages
  • Regular alerts featuring information on funding, training and events
  • Access to some network meetings and networking events
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Participation in conferences, events and research projects
  • Listing on NIRN website

Affiliate Membership Cost: 

Local Authority, Statutory Body: £350 per year

Supporters

NIRN welcomes supporter organisations including universities and networks which Circular Economy and/or Sustainability, medium private sector organisation with less than 100 employees that operate in reuse and repair, Reciprocal Members including national and international networks who promote sustainable development and/or social value

Benefits include:

  • Access to NIRN team to help you connect with member network
  • Regular e-letters
  • Free access to at least one NIRN meeting and networking opportunity a year
  • Access to NIRN conference
  • Listing on NIRN website as a supporter

Supporter membership cost:
3rd Level Institutions:  £350 per year

Medium Private Sector <100 employees: £350 per year
Reciprocal Members: £0 per year
