Toolkits & Case Studies

Introduction

As part of the Artitude: Climate, Culture and Circularity journey, we have developed a series of practical toolkits and in-depth case studies that capture the learning, creativity and community action at the heart of the project. These resources share real experiences from across the Derry City and Strabane District Council area. Designed to inspire, inform and support others, they offer tested approaches, creative methodologies and community-led models for embedding circular economy principles, climate action and cultural engagement in local contexts. Together, they reflect our commitment to sharing knowledge, amplifying community voices and enabling lasting, arts-led transformation.

Story & Change Masterclass

Storytelling is an essential part of human culture and communication because it allows us to share experiences, convey emotions, and pass down knowledge across generations. It connects people by creating a shared understanding and encouraging empathy, as we step into the shoes of others through their stories.

Mend at The Mac – Climate in Action

In 2025, Northern Ireland Resources Network (NIRN), through its Artitude: Climate, Culture, Circularity Project, partnered with Tools for Solidarity and the Metropolitan Arts Centre (The MAC) to deliver a special event as part of Sustainable Fashion Week. The collaboration emerged when NIRN was invited to take part in The MAC’s 2025 / 26 programme, Climate in Action – a year-long theme exploring how creativity can respond to the climate crisis.
