Bikes for a Better World
RUNNING ALL WEEK 10am - 5pm
Hope365 launches a week-long campaign inviting bicycle donations to support street children in Ethiopia. Expert volunteers will refurbish every bike for resale, and donors will receive a £10 charity shop voucher as a thank-you. An information stand will also highlight how donating toys, clothes, and electricals drives the reuse revolution.

Threads of Change – Small Stitches Big Impact
10am - 2pm Via Wings' ‘Threads of Change' event features two immersive four-hour workshops focused on garment longevity. Participants learn essential repair skills—from replacing buttons to altering hems—using pre-loved or personal items. Over a communal lunch, attendees discuss the environmental impact of textile reuse, discovering how simple adaptations can give clothing a new lease of life.

8am - 4pm Join Jon the Pedaler at the Aurora Leisure Centre for a comprehensive bicycle maintenance session. Repair & Share Foyle Repair Cafe
10am - 1pm Celebrate Repair & Share Foyles' 4th Birthday as we kick off Northern Ireland's Reuse & Repair Week with our host venue, Ulster University.
You'll find our volunteer fixers at the Great Hall in Magee (lift available) working their magic on Textiles, Small Electricals, Woodwork, Software Diagnostics, Bikes and general repairs!
Even if you have nothing to get fixed, we'd love to see you there to share some birthday cake!

Wardrobe Update Workshops
10am - 1pm These workshops will focus on three different repair methods to help extend the life of a piece of clothing. The first will focus on simple repairs such as hems, zips, buttons. The second will consider decorative repairs inc Japanese Shasiko. The third will look at altering a garment for a better fit or different purpose.

Community Bike Repairs
1pm - 4pm Got a flat tyre? We've got you covered! Here at Life Cycles we're offering affordable bicycle repairs services at our workshop on Saturday 30th May & Saturday 1st June from 1-4pm. No appointment necessary, simply bring your bike along and have our mechanics repair it while you wait! Let's keep your bike out of landfill together.
