Introducing Katie O’Donnell – Community Network Manager

Katie brings with her a wealth of experience in policy development and community advocacy. Her previous role as a Casework and Research Officer in a local MLA’s office allowed her to make significant contributions to environmental policy initiatives. Notably, she played a key role in developing a Member’s Bill focused on biodiversity and nature restoration, showcasing her commitment to sustainable practices and legislative progress.
Katie’s passion for the environment extends beyond policy work. At Teach the Future, she was instrumental in launching the campaign in Northern Ireland, focusing on environmental education and community engagement. Similarly, Katie’s work with EcoArt highlighted her dedication to environmental issues within the art industry and within the Artitude project, she facilitated numerous workshops centred around creativity, environmental awareness, and the circular economy.
A committed environmentalist, Katie actively volunteers with local initiatives such as the Woodland Trust, demonstrating her dedication to community-based climate action and ecological stewardship.
We are excited to have Katie join the team and we are confident that her expertise and enthusiasm will greatly benefit our members. Welcome, Katie!
