Restore – East Belfast Mission

Restore, Refurb and Recycle are social enterprise projects of East Belfast Mission. They help to support our vital work in east Belfast including our Homelessness Services, our Employability services, our Turas Irish language Project, our free community counselling project, and our church and community groups.

Restore is a chain of charity shops in Belfast, Antrim, Larne and Newtownards, which specialise in the sale of good quality furniture and bicycles, as well as clothes, books and bric-a-brac. These items are donated by the public, collected from local council recycling centres and saved from landfill or taken from our Refurb and Recycle warehouse after some work to restore or renew them.

Recycle, a project based at our warehouse, repairs and refurbishes bicycles both donated by the public and collected from council recycling centres. These are then sold in our chain of Restore charity shops or donated through our services to those in our community in are in need of a bicycle- giving them a vital gift of transport and freedom.

Refurb, is a project that repairs and refurbishes furniture which is then sold in our chain of restore charity shops. This furniture is collected from private donations as well as through local council contracts to allow us to collect a range of furniture from council recycling sites.
