We operate as a Men’s Shed, providing a safe space for men to meet up, reduce social isolation and participate in hands on projects that involve reusing materials that have been collected or donated to us from the community or local authority. We are also excited and keen to learn new skills that involve the reuse and repair of broken or items no longer in use. We have heard about lending library’s and Tool libraries and would love to look into doing something similar. We have fixed items that have been taken into us or put together toys and items of furniture that has been flat pack or need assembled, setting up a Repair Café in Fintona would be a dream of the group. Being relatively new, established in Feb this year we are keen to see how we can become more circular and learn skills from other NIRN Members who are more established in our area and further a field.
