Tools For Solidarity – Downpatrick
We refurbish hand and electric tools and domestic sewing machines for artisans in sub Sahara Africa, especially in Tanzania. We are a volunteer organisation and all volunteers receive training in repair skills. We particularly welcome volunteers with extra support needs. We act as a donation point for tools, sewing machines, workshop machinery and more.

Life Change Changes Lives (LCCL) is a social enterprise and charity that combines environmental sustainability with mental health recovery. Through our reuse and repair shop, we rescue donated furniture, clothing, and household goods, restoring and repurposing them to prevent landfill waste and promote a circular economy.
South Down Repair Cafe
We aim to run repair cafes across locations in South Down – predominantly Downpatrick and Castlewellan approximately 10 times per annum and repair small items – electrical/mechanical, clothes, tool sharpening, clocks and watches
Rostrevor Men’s Shed
We are a Men’s Shed that is very much a part of the community and located in the main square in Rostrevor. We use reuse wood to build bird boxes, planters etc and refurbish garden benches. We hold DIY workshops, Repair Café, and Tool Donation Point.
