The Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) Northern Ireland Centre and Recycle NI are absolutely delighted to announce the inaugural Northern Ireland Waste Management Conference on the 23rd of June in Northern Ireland’s number one conference centre, the ICC Belfast. The main theme of the conference will be How the circular economy can impact our green growth and net zero ambitions
Conference Managers Consulting Ltd is delighted to be on board as the event management company for this event. We’ve been running a similar event in Dublin ever since its inception in one form or another since 2003 and have been instrumental in making the Irish Waste Management Conference in Dublin the largest must attend event for all waste management professionals in both the private and public sectors in the Republic of Ireland. We will bring this expertise and experience to ensure the Northern Ireland event has similar success.
The Northern Ireland Waste & Resource Management Conference 2022 will be a huge opportunity to meet your clients, peers, colleagues, competitors, policy makers and indeed, future clients in a safe and relaxed environment in Belfast. We plan to make this an annual event.
So much has changed and improved in waste management in last two years with a huge amount of technological developments and numerous policy changes fast approaching that a large conference in Northern Ireland is well over due. Waste management really was on the front line during the Covid 19 pandemic and the industry as a whole did remarkably well so it’s time for a big communal pat on the back.
As will be the new normal with all live events, we will also be live streaming the Northern Irish Waste Management Conference so delegates will have the option to attend the event and access all the presentations virtually.
Important issues and hot topics to be discussed at this year’s event include among others;
- Circular Economy Innovation & Sustainable Business Models
- Climate Change and waste management sector can be a key contributor to meeting net zero carbon
- New Government Policy Updates for 2022 and beyond
- Reducing our reliance on exporting our waste
- Enforcement updates and case studies
