And the Winner Is…

The votes are officially in. After an incredible turnout and an inspiring week of community action, we are thrilled to announce the winner of the RRWNI26 Favourite Activity Poll:

Via Wings: “Threads of Change: most impactful yet”. You are the reason reuse and repair are becoming the new normal in Northern Ireland. Let’s keep this momentum going!

A massive congratulations to the entire Via Wings team. They will be taking home the £500 prize to help fund and expand their fantastic community work.

Their hands-on workshops struck a major chord this year, teaching attendees the art of simple clothing repairs and alterations. By showing people how a few small stitches can extend the life of a garment, Via Wings proved that keeping textiles out of landfills starts with a little bit of know-how and a lot of heart.

Celebrating Our Brilliant Finalists

Whittling down the entries to just three finalists was no easy task for our judges. While Via Wings took the top spot, we want to give a massive shoutout to our two incredible runners-up, who are doing game-changing work across Northern Ireland:

  • NW Baps / Zero Waste North West
    • The Project: Their Zero Waste Parenting event tackled the challenges of eco-friendly parenting. From introducing families to reusable products to highlighting the genius of the ZWNW Toy Library, they made circular parenting accessible, affordable, and community-driven.
  • Life Changes, Changes Lives x Newry, Mourne & Down District Council
    • The Project: The “Old to Gold” initiative breathed vibrant new life into furniture that was destined for the dump. Through restoration, upcycling, and community learning, they turned literal trash into local treasure.

A Massive Thank You to You!

Every single organisation involved in Reuse & Repair Week 2026 helped make this year such a success!
