During the visit, participants looked into the environmental and social impacts of the modern textile industry. The statistics surrounding clothing waste can feel overwhelming, but Change Clothes Dublin focuses on actionable solutions. Members explored practical ways to extend clothing life cycles and reduce textile waste by viewing used fabric not as rubbish, but as a valuable resource. The day also included a hands-on workshop. Using donated, leftover textiles, the group got creative and transformed the scraps into handy draught excluders. It was a fun demonstration of how circular design can solve everyday problems.
