Craigavon Area Compassion Project operates a project called ABC Community Food Hub. The Hub co-ordinates food and other donations from local businesses to support the activities of 5 social super markets in the ABC Borough. Very often this food is nearing end of life or surplus to requirements for various reasons. The hub can also distribute other donated items and equipment through this network. Additionally we distribute surplus food donations to other trusted community sector partners. We are currently running pilot scheme on material recycling with a craft group of food bank users and we are collecting bicycles for a bike recycling scheme planned for the new year.
