A range of activities happening across Mid Ulster during this week

Activity : Pre Loved Fashion Show

Pre loved Fashion for All Ages – from toddlers to teens to 80s and beyond.  Part of the show will include items upcycled or repaired as part of workshops leading up to the event.

All items on outfits available for sale after the show

Where: St Colm’s High School, 3 Magherafelt Road, Draperstown, BT45 7AF

When: Thursday 6 March, 7 – 9pm

Cost: Adult £7, Child £5

 

Activity: Mini Repair Café

Join us for a Mini Repair Café, where you can learn simple repair techniques to extend the life of your belongings. The event includes a textile repair for minor fixes such as hemming, replacing buttons, and patching small rips. Additionally, small household items like wobbly chairs, loose screws, and spot welds can be repaired—though please note, electrical repairs are not included. Come along and give your items a new lease of life!

Activity: Launch of Bike Reuse and Repair Scheme

Mid Ulster Council in collaboration with East Belfast Mission (EBM) are launching a new initiative to ensure bikes left at recycling centres, across the region (Cookstown, Magherafelt and Dungannon) are given a new lease of life.  Suitable bikes left at the council recycling centres will be stored and then collected by EBM who will organise repair and onwards sale, ensuring these bikes are kept in use for longer.
