Tools For Solidarity – Downpatrick

We refurbish hand and electric tools and domestic sewing machines for artisans in sub Sahara Africa, especially in Tanzania. We are a volunteer organisation and all volunteers receive training in repair skills. We particularly welcome volunteers with extra support needs. We act as a donation point for tools, sewing machines, workshop machinery and more.

Remakery Studio

The Remakery Studio in Bangor, County Down, is a co-operative workspace dedicated to encouraging sustainable living. It provides a community space to rethink, recover, reuse, and redistribute surplus materials, offering workshops and resources to encourage repair, upcycling, and the development of new skills, all aimed at reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.

We are a Men’s Shed that is very much a part of the community and located in the main square in Rostrevor. We use reuse wood to build bird boxes, planters etc and refurbish garden benches. We hold DIY workshops, Repair Café, and Tool Donation Point.
