A Guide to Tackling the Public’s Fundamental Misunderstanding of Waste Prevention

5 March @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Most people are not extensively engaged in waste prevention behaviours and think that recycling is the best thing they can do to reduce the environmental impact of the things they buy.

Designing better, insight-led communications, that increase understanding of waste prevention, is an essential part of facilitating the take-up of these behaviours.

Join us at 11am on Tuesday, 5 March for a webinar exploring how to tackle the public’s fundamental misunderstanding of waste prevention. Register now to learn more and get involved.

Network members attending our conference do not need to register as an early exclusive will be presented at the event.

The webinar will be presented by our Director of Services, Dr Anna Scott, who will be sharing the following:

– The first set of findings from our waste prevention tracker survey
– The findings from our latest research into the effective communication of waste prevention messages
– A public education video and assets that have been designed based on these findings, and are ready for you to share.

The research has been made possible thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, along with CIWM, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority, and SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK.

We do hope you’ll join us to discover how we can work together to move people up the waste hierarchy from recycling to waste prevention.
