Belfast City Council facilitates the reuse and repair of household items – primarily furniture, bicycles, books, CDs and DVDs – collected at its Household Recycling Centres. The Council also promotes wider reuse and repair opportunities to the public through its outreach and communications programmes, channels and media. This work is led by the Resources and Fleet Service who also provide guidance and support on sustainable resource management internally to other Council services. The Council is keen to find ways to stimulate greater levels of reuse and repair across the City.
