Newcastle Lions club, Co Down, are one of 12 Lions clubs across Northern Ireland and part of the world wide Lions International charity. The lions help people by fund raising, giving 100% of money collected to a nominated charity and by carrying out service activities. They are champions of repair and reuse, supporting partner organisations such as Tools for Solidarity and Medico, with the collection of items that range from spectacles, walking aids, bikes, tools and sewing machines. They have a far reaching impact on a global community. NIRN are delighted to have this wonderful group as part of our network – and hope to support them to do more of what they already do!
