The Triax Neighbourhood Management Team are an organisation that have evolved out of 24 years of community development work in the Bogside, Brandywell, Creggan, Fountain and Bishop Street areas, Derry. Initially addressing deficit in community infrastructure, the team have since developed multiple environmental projects. As well as activities to address fly tipping, they have a community allotment and shed services project, hen shed and most recently, The ‘More&Less’ project in partnership with Pink Ladies Cancer Support Group. This project looks at getting rid of single use plastics which are not only harmful to our environment but also to our health. Triax is also working with our friends at Community RePaint to divert paint from landfill. We see great potential for raising the profile of repair and reuse with this dynamic team.
